Budget option for KL Sentral

My second time to stay here, I find this hotel a decent budget option to stay near the excellent transport links of KL Sentral & also NU Sentral mall. Check in always quick, good sized inside room with double bed. Hot shower, although plumbing a bit leaky and toilet seat cracked. Air con worked well, wifi also great. Towels quite worn with some holes. Kettle, coffee & mineral water provided. Housekeeping guys were really nice and friendly. For the price I paid I believe this represents excellent value for money and on a solo visit I would consider it for sure.

Worst ever stay in this hotel

I have started to stay at this hotel since it was built several years ago. And I even gave excellent review due to the location,cleanliness,service etc. But my last stay at July 2022 was the worst ever stay and I won't return. To start with the review, let see the room,I was assigned at room 201, it is dirty and the door lock has been broken and nobody change the new one, then I have to request another room. They put me on fifth floor room 501, this room window screen is broken and it can not be pulled up so the room was dark forever. Then the towels, look at the pictures that I attach in my review, torn and it is a shame, how can the management let those simple things happen. If the pandemic situation made them unable to change new ones, then how much does the cost for towels? The housekeeping will clean your room after 4 PM, and I have requested to clean it earlier,but they said they have a lot of rooms to clean and got only one housekeeping staff. The worst thing about fifth floor was the prostitutes. There are two or three rooms at fifth floor infested with longterm stay of prostitutes inside the room (room 502). Man coming in and out the room brought by a fat chinese guy and the girl standing with bikini at door to welcome the guests. I will never return to this hotel at all,except all those prostitutes have moved out.

I stayed in the single room. It wasn't big, but it had everything I needed: it was clean, bed was comfortable, AC was cold, wi fi was good, friendly and kind receptionist. Everything went well for me during my stay. No breakfast was served, but no problem at all, considering it's easy to find eateries nearby. Location was great, relatively close (within walking distance) to KL Sentral/ Nu Sentral Mall. There are many convenience stores for all your needs, street food stalls across the street offering fried rice, noodles, or simple local dish all day long, as well as hawker centre on the corner for a great option of breakfast. Very reasonable rate as well, especially for budget or single travellers or even little families with kids.

I picked Hotel Double M because of its central location and short walking distance to KL Sentral to catch the first train to the airport at 5 am. Room interior and furnishing look very good and not tired. If you're taller than 6 feet, the bed might be too small for you.

Nice clean room with decent bathroom, comfy bed and strong wifi and aircon. Perfect if wanting a budget stay which is a step up from a hostel. 10 min walk from the station with lots of hawker food stalls on the doorstep. If staying longer than 2 nights I would recommend going elsewhere as there is no storage or fridge. We were on the 5th floor to the right of the lift and did not notice any noise.
